Algerian (or Maghrib) cuisine, like most North African cuisines, has been influenced by cultures and nations over the centuries - starting with the Berbers - that have contributed something unique to the country's culinary delights. Algeria's cuisine is an eclectic mix of flavours, aromas and textures, It is colourful Mediterranean and North African cuisine with Berber roots!

At 13 I was telling my dad that I'm going to own a food business one day. It took some time as I slowly but surely became disenchanted by my corporate career.

Since my early years as a child I would stand by my mum in the kitchen and took note of how she made hands-down the best food in the history of food - in my opinion! Over the years I've been perfecting recipes that were passed down to my mother from my grandmother, and from many generations before her.

I am lucky enough to have this as part of my family history and thus my love journey with food began as naturally as it possibly could.

I've gained a lot of professional experience since those early days learning in my mama's kitchen. I've worked with some talented chefs in various professional kitchens, indoors and outdoors cooking for the masses as well as having had my own street food stall in Bristol
